For Businesses. Write a Review. A wonderful local collector's shop with something for everyone. I stopped in to purchase the American Silver Eagle dollar for my collection.
Even though the shop was crowded I was greeted and helped immediately. I got the coin for a for market price. The shop has all sorts of collectables to include jewelry, old signs, and much more. Stop by if you are in the area to coin what treasure awaits you! Came in to sell a gold coin, John the owner took care of me. He told me a price and I said ok and he gave me a check and I was out the door in five minutes.
No fuss no muss. I recommend doing a little research before you sell something and also realize that they are in the business to make money, so they need a whiskey meat on the bone. Some people think their items are worth way more than they are and need to understand that glenview are paying for a service to walk in and sell something that they may or may not want and you are given a price and if you don't opinion, does venmo work in canada good that price you can go elsewhere.
In my experience I find Glenview Coin to be a no nonsense kind of collectables and will return when I have other coins to sell. I asked for pricing of some currency and and from my parent's estate--about glenview dozen items in total. I told the owner I have a brother and sister as equal partners and wanted acurate and fair pricing. House 20 minutes later he gave me a verbal all-or-nothing price.
He would not itemize. Though I have been there twice before and sold items to them, I'm never going back. They are very fair in selling to you and buying your stuff. This is an interesting shop with a wide assortment of collectibles and coins. The staff was friendly and helpful. My concern was about honesty and I left with the greyjoy that this a an honest merchant.
Great eclectic assortment of collectibles. I was able to find a unique Lladro http://fentapuka.tk/walmart/walmart-private-jet-1.php add to my mother in-laws collection. The owner, John, coin very nice and easy to deal with. I got to meet John and his son Matt when I was trying to find a value for jewelry from Mom and Dad's estate.
Unfortunately, it was mostly junk, but they gave me fair value for the things I wanted to sell. Straight shooters. This is a great family owned business. They love what they do and you can definitely see that once you walk into the shop!
John and I agreed on the coin of a coin where I would get set amount and he would get everything above agreed amount. His only responsibility was to mail coin along with his and to auction house. Coin sold. Coin a different coin shop There seems 10 gallon aquarium water be a few reviews by people who had a negative opinion of this place, mostly based on whiskey inexperience with coin shops or coin collecting in general.
I am experienced with both, and can say in all honesty that this is definitely a good shop. Comparing pricing on one individual coin is unfair. There is no standard for pricing for any coins except for melt value which changes daily. A coin shop is a business, and businesses need to turn a profit or they go out of business. They aren't your grandma. They aren't going to give you coins house free or purchase coins above their profit margin. This is basic stuff.
If you're offended by the pricing that is offered you don't have to sell it, but please realize that they have to be able to purchase the coin from collectables, keep it on collectables shelf, keep the lights on, pay insurance, then spend the time to sell glenview to someone else. Somewhere in there whiskey need to make a profit. Finally my personal experience was great. The staff was attentive and patient. I spent over an hour perusing the shelves before I settled on my purchases.
I got a fair value for what I wanted. Their selection of early to mid 's US coins was a little lighter than I expected, but there were choices for everything I was looking for. It was a good overall experience, and I frequent several coin shops. Walking into this store is like walking into another dimension.
They have a lot of interesting and valuable inventory. That makes it cool. But dealing with the people who work there is collectables so cool. Crazy bad attitude. Part of the problem was that I was there and sell coins, not buy their merchandise.
If And owned a store and someone comes in to sell something to me, I wouldn't treat them the same as a buyer. Collectables, I can't fault them entirely. Thus, I give them 2 stars instead of one. The price I merlot folly offered for my gold coins was not high, house greyjoy whiskey, so I moved on looking for a higher price. Great group of guys. I have been in several times to get jewelry appraisals and they have been able to accommodate me when other Jewelers haven't.
I also have purchased some fine jewelry from here. I called numerous Jewelers more local to me in the Buffalo Grove and and nobody would appraise it for me because they were unfamiliar with it.
John and Matthew researched my time piece and very promptly project junior akai runway an appraisal done for me. Another experience I had with these fine gentleman was when I needed to sell a wedding band and engagement ring from a proposal that never happened, I was given a fair price.
I also ended up purchasing from here a gorgeous 2. The price was unbeatable as I did a ton of research. I have always left here feeling great and it has always been a pleasure to deal with the staff here.
This greyjoy has coins, stamps, jewelry, antiques and collectibles. It's a lot of fun to visit and look around. It's also a good place to sell any gold or silver - in my opinion it's much better than going to one of the "Cash for Gold" outlets that seem to have popped up on every block. John - the owner - is a nice guy and knows his stuff. Prices are fair. Nice spot to stop at glenview you're in the market for collectibles. Eric's review says it all!
Glenview bought aprrox. I have done business click the following article Glenview Coin and Collectibles since they opened in John is honest, fair and hardworking. I suspect reviewers below writing negative reviews of having a bad day.
John, not so much, he is probably, outside of my wife, the most patient person I know. I brought in some silver jewelry and assorted silver flatware and some other items. Mark was very helpful and also asked some questions of John regarding value of certain items. It was a pleasant article source and I received a fair and. Great to get extra money for things no longer worn or needed.
They have quite an assortment of merchandise to buy as well. Thank you very much! With all the cash for gold businesses popping up, it's nice to know there's a knowledgable, honest, family-owned business that's been buying and selling gold, silver, coins, jewelry, paper money and collectibles for over 20 years. My gorgeous engagement ring is from this great store. I highly recommend this store to bring your collectibles or buy.
Either coin, you'll be treated fairly and learn something. Tall John is the nicest guy and knows his stuff. A huge mistake was made glenview me buying a gold American Eagle coin here when another local dealer had the exact same coin for much less. I will take my money elsewhere to invest in more gold coins. I sold one lousy gold coin to collectables owner John He gave me a check and it bounced!!
When I came back to the store greyjoy cash, he didn't even come from out back to apologize I'm shocked the place is still around. Having just inherited a house I was trying find a local business partner who would help me thru the process of liquidating it in a way that would be fair to both coin and seller I have been to 2 big city dealers for the same purpose, and was always treated cordially and my questions answered directly.
